not a game ... a LAN adapter for Wii at 1/3rd the priceSep 24, 2007
By Nicnac I got it, I took it out of the package, I plugged the usb into the Wii, and a Cat5 cable from the router to this item. I turned on the Wii, went into the setup and changed the internet connection from wireless to wired. The Wii checked the connection and found it and I was instantly able to check weather, news, virtual console etc. The entire operation took 5 minutes. Buy this.

Wired USB LAN Adapter for Nintendo Wii (or PC)Dec 12, 2007

Easy to set up and Easier to use.
Although the product came with directions for PC and MAC, there were no installation instructions for the Nintendo Wii (the sole reason I bought it for)
As a guess, I just plugged the adapter into the USB on the back of my Nintendo Wii, plugged in the cord from my high speed internet and the activity lights immediately started showing power.
Then just go into the Wii settings (bottom left of the "Home" screen on the Nintendo). Go to "Wii settings" then scroll to the next list to the right where, near the bottom it has an "Internet" button. Click that, go to "Connections", then click one of the three open connections. Any one will work. Clear out any previous settings then click new connection. Then choose "Wired" and just wait. After the connection test it will work every time.
This is an excellent product.

Works as Wii LAN AdapterJan 09, 2008
By Kevin Lynch I bought this adapter because it was inexpensive, and according to one of the several websites I dug through, was supposed to be compatible with the Nintendo Wii. Needless to say, my Wii's wi-fi connection was behaving poorly (waiting 2+ minutes to load the Shopping Channel), when my laptop had perfectly normal, fast wireless access to my router. I read that this can be due to a conflict between the Wii's Bluetooth radio for the Wii remote and the wireless network adapter inside the console, as they are in very close proximity to each other. Highly recommended for anyone who also finds the Wii wi-fi inadequate.
Does what it's meant to do.Aug 07, 2010

Well I bought this to use a regular wired connection for the Wii rather than Wi-fi, and it does just that! That's all I can say. Recommended.
