 One of the best Bomberman titles in yearsFeb 06, 2008

Bomberman Land is an RPG/minigame collection. There are over 50 minigames, and most of them are actually fun. I like this better than Bomberman Land Touch on DS because there's less aimless wandering and the minigames are easier. The story is funny at times. You can also customize your single-player character with lots of different outfits. The 3D graphics vary from good-very good. Load times are amazingly short for a PSP game - virtually nonexistent.
It still get has classic 4-player Bomberman battle mode, and unlike the first PSP game, the battle mode is rendered in 2D graphics (but the main game and minigames are 3D). The Battle mode has 4 different play styles (Normal, Star, Point, and Crown Battle) and a whopping 46 stages (+ Random) to choose from. My criticisms of Battle Mode: it's only four players, and there aren't enough items. But it plays well - in fact, better than the previous Bomberman PSP game.
I recommend all Bomberman fans snap this game up - it's excellent.

This game is really cute and fun to play. There are many mini games within, and it's interesting to challenge yourself to beat your own score over and over.

The Good: Decent graphics, game sharing, fun mini-games
The Bad: Stupid pointless story, even stupider quest mode
I only played Bomberman Land thanks to the PSP drought here at the beginning of '08. There's nothing much here for adults but kids will get a blast out of it. You walk around an overhead map going back and forth to places collecting pieces with numbers on them to make the Bomberman Land island whole again after White Bomb and his friends crash into it. This is about as boring and dull as you can get. Sometimes you'll hit a place with an "attraction" which is a mini-game that you play and if you beat the score you get that piece. What makes this even more dull is having to backtrack and click around to find pieces that you can now recover.
That's pretty much it to the game. Some mini-games have you popping bouncing balls with lasers, platform tilting games, golf etc. and they are fun but only the first time. If you have a kid get this for him/her and if you're an adult....I mostly recommend this to girls.
