Great concept and does not fail to please.May 17, 2008

As a long time veteran of RTS, and Tactical games, and fan of robots and mecha stuff, I couldn't wait to get my hands on this, and the wait was worth it. This game is absolutely brilliant. The actual battle graphics with the drones are wickedly well done, and the game play is flawless.
However, don't buy this hoping the story will blow you away, it wont, and it's no FF tactics clone either, the story is weak, but again, the game play is outstanding!
You can completely customize your Drones. Color, weapons, names, even put logos on their bodies. There's a ton of campaigns, and like 50 something bonus maps, so the game will last a while, and with so much customization there's a lot of replay value!
Buy it! It's going to be the best unheard of and underrated game of the year, I guarantee it.

Fun and challenging.Jan 28, 2009

Drone Tactics starts off like most badly written games: with a stroyline that is very forgettable. However, don't let the storyline fool you. This is one game you shouldn't underestimate. I was intrigued by the fact that you can use bugs to battle, as opposed to more military based vehicles and aircrafts like in Advance Wars. I figured why not? So, I gave it a try and since then I have been pretty much hooked on the game. It's not like some other of these strategy based games where one of your members dies and you can never get them back. On the contrary, even if they die in battle they will still get EXP! Some battles can be very long depending on your current level but that's when the Badlands comes in. This is the place to train your "drones" so as to get more EXP, weapons, and cards. The badlands levels are quite challenging also and will definitely keep you entertained for hours. As for the sound and graphics, I would say the graphics are quite impressive and the fact that you can actually see your drones battling on the top screen on the DS is also pretty cool. The soundtrack is not too bad either. A lot of the music actually goes quite well with the levels and can be quite enjoyable. All in all Drone Tactics was a pretty good game and I recommend it to anyone who really enjoys strategy based games, since no else will probably enjoy it.

fun gameAug 12, 2008
A few weeks before my birthday, I discovered Drone Tactics. From then until my birthday, I was saying that I really want it pretty much every ten minutes. When I got it, it was a lot better than I expected! It's really fun. Plus, it has a great storyline that's filled with surprises.
A well made game, fun.Apr 02, 2011
By Marsgreekgod This game is flawed, it's not prefect, the story is cheesy and balance isn't perefect, but it was made with heart, it's fun game and once you figure out the few (very few) confusing bits, it's great fun.
Basically, if you looked at this game, saw it was a tactics game and still wanted to play it, you most likely would have fun.
Great game, crummy storySep 11, 2010

Its a strategy RPG. I like strategy RPGs a lot. This one has a different twist to it. It is inferior to Final Fantasy Tactics, so if you don't have that, get that first. If you do and don't want another fantasy based strategy RPG, then this is a good game. The story line is fairly lame, but I do like the bug-mechs.
