Very Good but....May 06, 2005
By Marco from Brazil First of all I must say this is a very good game indeed.
I liked the Graphics and the fact that is a complete game the same I have on PC or XBOX.All teams all leagues full of options to play.
I found the speed of the game very good as weel, there is a minor problem when the ball goes outbounds there is a small pause in gameplay but is not a huge concern.
The players detail are also very good, better than my PC details I guess.
My only complain about the game is a lack of cutomization in controls and I think is very difficult to hold the PSP and play weel at the same time, but maybe I have to pratice more or find another way to hold it.
If you like soccer you have to buy.

a draw...May 12, 2005
By Stresspuppy This will probably be the best football/soccer game for the PSP for quite some time; FIFA has always put out great titles and the graphics is really good. Athough the animation is smooth, the problem comes from the slightly sluggish reaction time... while I understand the player physics used to good effect on consoles, it does not do well on the PSP's analog thumbpad making pivots (even more difficult given that touch/finesse moves uses the d-pad which is really hard to switch back and froth from the thumbpad), meeting and avoiding opposing players while keeping the ball difficult even on the semi-pro level.
There are a lot of options, though; from quick friendlies, half seasons, mini-game challenges, custom season and players along with a huge amount of players and teams make the game immediately accessible.
I would give this three and half stars only because it's a fine game, not a breakout one. The controls just do not seem to have been optimized for the PSP... it is worth playing but I wouldn't put this in the same class as Ridge Racer and Wipeout.

Great First EffortAug 09, 2005
By Matthieu P. Raillard I know that this isn't a perfect game, not by a longshot. The truth is, this is the best soccer game on a handheld I've ever played, and a ton of fun to boot. The amazing thing is how they've managed to pack a full console game's worth of options and features into a small, handheld game. Create-a-player? Check. Season mode? Check. The list goes on. There are some gripes, namely the stuttery animation when the ball goes out of bounds, or the sketchy controls (no secondary analog stick means... it's really hard to control the freestyle moves), but the truth is, it's still a blast to play.

Good GameJun 02, 2005
By Christopher S. Stone This is a very impressive game, graphics wise, for a handheld. The stadiums look great and the players are recognizable. The details on the shirts are a little blurry, but thats just being picky. The controls on the other hand are a little frustrating. The game requires you to use the analog stick which, in my opinion doesn't work very well. Trying to perform quick turns and cuts is almost impossible and my passes tend to go to players other then who i intended it to. Freekicks are incredible, indentical to the console versions. The sound is not bad, if you can stand the weird songs from all the international no name bands. It even has a music video from one of the bands and something that looks like someone's half attempt at a music video made with a computer graphics program.
Overall the game is not bad, and being that I'm addicted to soccer in all forms and fashions, I give it a 4. Although i pray that there will be a Winning Eleven on the system, this is the best choice so far.

This is a good game but it is not the best one i have played. It has bad graphics and the game is very hard. It has some good music on it but most of it is annoying. It is fun but it takes forever to beat the game and after u beat it it is just like any other fifa games, u just do quick games. It is really annoying when the game freezes after the ball goes out or u score a goal. Sometimes it unfreezes but it takes like five miniutes to do so. This game is really old and was made before the psp even came out but it still has really bad graphics and game play. I would buy a newer one if i were u.
