Is it worth the money? I think soApr 11, 2008
By Toki Harvest Moon DS: Cute -
Before I get started, just incase anyone that reads this has NOT picked up a Harvest Moon game before... Harvest Moon is a farming simulator with a neo love system embedded into it. Throughout your play, you'll grow crops, raise animals, (in this version) date guys, and move on to have a happy family. In this game, the Goddess has been punished by the Harvest God for being too lax with her duties. You, as a rookie farmer, have to unseal the cast away sprites and return the Harvest Goddess to her place, all while finally proving yourself worthy to the Harvest God. Though I've given a brief description, the game play is more diverse and satisfying than what I'm cluing in to. My advice to anyone who has not played a Harvest Moon game and is curious is to just pick it up and see for yourself whether or not it's for you. Moving on from the introduction... This is very much like the original Harvest Moon DS released with the male main character, except now you play as one of two girls. There are some added items and the dialogue has changed, but the aspect of the game is still the same, just flipped around. I was worried while it was being made, weren't we all? When the boy's version was released, it contained so many bugs it was frustrating. Don't get me wrong, this game is not without flaw. It has a few spelling errors here and there, though not enough to bother me or the game play. As far as the changes go, since you play a girl, the marriage candidates have been switched towards the male spectrum, with more than enough possible bachelors to satiate anyone who has waited for this. Natsume has also (finally) added in a new guy, I might be a bit biased but I'm happy with the add. :) Continuing on the subject of changes, they've added a wallpaper and flooring system, as well as a clothing change system and a few new events. All in all, if you're a girl, or just a big fan of the Harvest Moon series, this is most likely a must have for you.

This game is awesome. I think it's better then Animal Crossing. There's so much to do in this game. You can play three different card games, fish, mine, dig for stuff, play with animals, grow crops, cook (not like cooking mama style) buy cloth, make friends, get married and a lot more. The grapics are good and so is the audio. In this version your playing as a girl rather then a boy. I think it's a bit more challenging that the previous games especially when it comes to earning the affection and friendship levels. It's a game worth buying.

A must-have Harvest Moon!Jun 13, 2008
By C.C. the Magnificent If you're a fan of the Harvest Moon series or are just looking into the franchise, I definitely recommend this one. This is the first Harvest Moon I actually tried myself and it officially won me over as a harvest moon fan.
True, it is the female version of Harvest Moon DS but there are many added portions, such as changing clothes to gain more love and friendship points, being able to change your wallpaper, and best of all, none of those really bad glitches from the boy version! Not only that, but there is a new bachelor as well and he alone makes this game worth playing. The mysterious phantom thief is sure to steal your heart! Plus you can connect to FoMT or MFoMT to add the bachelors from Mineral Town to your choices.
Anyway, it's very fun. I haven't finished it yet (I mean, really it's long. It will keep you busy). But stick with it and don't whine about how long and repetitive it is because if you hate sim games so much you probably shouldn't buy this. With fun holidays and things to unlock, the longer you play the better it gets!
Go buy it! Do it! :)

Cool game... But what's with the guys?!Jul 25, 2008

I've been a huge fan of the female Harvest Moon games for about a year now, so I jumped at the opportunity to get one for my sparkley-new DS. I must say, it was just as good as all the other games I got, which is good, but I've only had a few dislikes about it.
1.) The guys are... well... ugly (except the 'bonus' bachelor, Skye, who is amazing ^.^). Not the loveable ones in MFOMT, though if you have that game, you can put it in the DS and they will visit.
2.) You have to save 60 harvest sprites before you can get married. This is pretty hard, if you don't have a walkthrough of some sort. But it's worth it, cause you can have a baby, unlike Harvest Moon: Boy & Girl.
3.) In Harvest Moon: Boy and Girl, there was no penalty if you threw weeds and such on the ground, so I was in the habit of picking up weeds and throwing them. A while into the game, I started to find that nobody's heart level was going up, so I bought the love braclet so I could view the Love Points. As it turns out, people like you less if you throw things on the ground. So don't. ever. litter.
4.) There's only two saving slots, which is a little annoying.
Other than that, it's a lot of fun to play, and I've had no technical issuses or anything, so I'd definately still recommend getting it.

SO CUTEAug 21, 2008
By N. Wellsfry Harvest Moon Ds Cute is sooo much better than Harvest Moon Ds. This one doesn't have any glitches like the other one does. Plus you get to play as a girl! You can play as the girl from mineral town or the girl from another wonderful life. Get a free cat and dog too! The cat is simply adorable! To get a horse you must ship 1,000 things. Then the horse will be brought to you, as an adult. That means that you can ride it right away too! How fun! You can actually ride it out of town too! Also there is a new batchor, Sky. He is really cute, he reminds me of Sesshormu, kinda. He has silver hair and (unlike Sesshormuru) he is a big flirt. The only thing is that he is a theif. But he doesn't kill or hurt people. He has this beam called "Chick Beam" that can freeze girls! Most girls marry Sky. Aww. I think that he stops stealing after you marry him.
