Disappointing at best!Dec 17, 2007
By J. Brennan Try as I have I can not see any good things to say about this game other then if you are a history buff it might be nice to see the authentic video footage from the History channel. I am 59 and have seen most of it. The game is simply boring walk and shoot each mission lasts about 20 minuets. If you could run it would only be about 10, but the controls only allow you to walk or crouch. The game, its graphics', and controls are about 10 years behind the times. I felt it was more of an advertisement for the history channel then a game. As has been said before, a total waste of money

OK but lackingJan 21, 2009
By Dan Bodell I have been buying and playing single player war games for years, this game ( Battle for the Pacific ) for a number of reasons is disappointing, the biggest thing i am dissapointed in is the fact that this game has no players guide book available, and going to my computer to spend whats left of the rest of my life reading a walk through,......for "me" suc*s, and using very expensive printer ink to print a walk through also suc*s, all this of course is only "my" opinion, the rest of the world may find the game otherwise ?, would i buy it again, yes, because i love single shooter war games, if you do too, please give it a try and add it to your collection, its still worth playing

Great GameApr 29, 2008
By DRB I initially purchased the History Channel Civil War game from a local store that was going out of business. My teen son is a history buff and wanted to give it a try.
After playing it he asked if there were any more History Channel games? We immediately thought of Amazon. Amazon has the best selection and the best prices on games, by far.
We were lucky enough to find the Battle for the Pacific. My son loved it. Way to go History Channel, for bringing history to the video game world.
