5Double Team FunDec 14, 2005
By Reuben Gathright "rgathright"
After playing for 20 hours, I was surprised how much fun this game turned out to be. I found the "Internet themed" plot line very appealing. With loads of hidden "easter eggs" throughout this game, the curious gamer could play for hours.

Pros:

1) Dual screens are used effectively with touchpad controls that are easy to press.

2) Excellent tutorial and battle dialog help the player learn quickly.

3) 2D Graphics are sharp with emphasis placed on information display.

4) A mature title with no glitches in gameplay or battle mode.

5) Game can be controlled with the keypad, no need to use the touchpad.

Cons:

1) Game seems like it has a little to much useless character dialog.

2) This game is just an updated remake of earlier titles, but a great buy for a player new to this Megaman genre.

5Battle Network 5: Double Team DS..Jun 29, 2006
By M. Wilson
I haven't played any of the Battle Network games since Battle Network 2 (My personal favorite out of the series..), but Battle Network 5 was a very fun experience; It wasn't as fun as BN 2, but it was fun nonetheless.

Double Team is the Team Protoman & Team Colonel games put together as one DS game, and they play exactly like their GBA counterparts. I also like the use of the double screen, where you can use either the Keypad or the Lower screen to access your pet (using the lower screen is fun, though.)

There's a wide variety of Battlechips, and a whole lot of action; A couple of puzzles I didn't like, but other than that, I enjoyed BN 5 a lot, and put in a good 25-30 hours. This is definitely a good game to have for Nintendo DS owners.

4Not the Best Battle Network but a GREAT GameJul 06, 2011
By Glenda M. Cuddy "Glenda M. Cuddy"
Mega Man Battle Network 5 was a great game when it came out on the GBA, regardless of not being the best one in the series. This game is a great deal because it gives you both versions of the game in one with enhancements using the DS. Unfortunately it's a bit more expensive now but it's still a good buy. The BN series is amazing all around and this game is no exception so I think it's worth the money.

5Great Game!May 04, 2010
By Joe Fish
I played Mega Man Battle Network 4: Blue Moon a while back. Needless to say, it gave me high expectations for this game and WOW! I wasn't disappointed.

It has both versions of Battle Network 5 on one cartridge, which was nice, and two save slots, so you don't have to erase your data to play the other version.
The game itself had interesting puzzles scattered throughout, and was, of course,VERY fun. The touch screen was utilized to great effect for things like editing your chip folder, saving, and 'customizing' your character, although you don't have to use it.
After playing through Team Protoman and playing Team Colonel they introduced a 'TP chip', which lets you take characters from one game into the other!
They also hid interesting 'side quests', such as memory games, hide-and-seek, quizzes, hidden items in things like pots, security cameras, statues, etc, 5 'guardians' that, when beaten, open up a secret level, team members' 'battle image data' and a hidden character that gives you special Battlechips when beaten, unique Battlechips that you can get, for a price... the list goes on and on.
Unfortunately, the multiplayer doesn't support DS Download Play, and isn't overly spectacular. It lets you trade Battlechips (The one-time-use-per-battle weapons in the Battle Network Series) with a friend and battle. It's reasonably fun, but not a major part of this game.

I played game for a good 72 HOURS (40 on Team Protoman, 32 on Team Colonel) and I'm still not done yet!
For about $20, this is an INCREDIBLE bargain!

I love the interaction I get to have while playing the game, its like your DS is a actually a PET and megaman is your navi thanks to the stylus. I think that this game is sweet
