Bought this for my X-Box and it is a very good buy, bought it brand new and I like the graphics and all, better than the one I had for my Super NINTENDO, by far...........two thumbs up on this one.........it's fun and great........recommend buy for sure............Don't think you will be disappointed........Dave........

you can adjust the controller to give it more of an X-box 360 feel, but let's face it, its an older system and the 360 kills it. Still, this is the best hockey available for the Xbox. I still play it while on my stationary bike. (this and Fifa 07)

NHL 07 has way better graphics and than the NHL 2k series for regular Xbox, but in terms of gameplay, stick to the 2K series.
Pros
- graphics are amazing, like knocking off the water bottle from the goalie's net
- jeresys look awesome, and tons of mutli jerseys in the game, like the Tampa Bay lighting blue jerseys they wore back in the late 90s.
- better puck control, here you can actually set up a viable power play where as in the 2K series, it's much tougher.
- goalie movement is awesome, kick pad saves, pad saves, stick saves, everything looks awesome
- highlights, very fluid and pleasing to the eye
- Gary Thorne doing commentary for the game
- much different gear options, like the Nike helmet, Bauer, etc.
probably my favorite thing about NHL 07...........GOALIE MASKS!!!
you have the plain team option, or you can dice it up with custom masks, including Curtis Joseph's Cujo (red dog) mask! you get options for a lizard, spider, etc. it's pretty neat.
Cons
- game play
- player models don't match up. Carcillo isn't 6'5 250 lbs, but that is how he looks.
- you cannot edit player models unless you cut the player, and this bites. i like to make my player look authentic when i play, helmet, visor, stick, goalie mask, etc. but here, you've got to cut players to edit then re-sign them.
- music, not very good
overall, unless you're a fan of the EA sports hockey franchise, then i guess you'd like the game.

If you're into hockey, buy this game. The rosters were up to date for when it came out, the gameplay is awesome, the controls are easy to learn, the fighting you get to do is hilarious, and it's easy to follow the puck and your players. Great game.

Definitely the most fun hockey game to play, if you just want to sit down and play a game or two.
If you are looking to manage your team, chemistry, rosters, trade buy and sell, etc... go for NHL 2K7.
The Dynasty mode is seriously lacking and is showing it's age as being about as sophisticated as it was 5 years ago.
The music is incredibly irritating, just like 2K7. Though in 2K7 you can select your own soundtrack. In this game you are stuck with the same 5 emo songs over and over.
