Might they lurk beneath the leaden cloak of the oceans, breaching occasionally into view, and the disappearing again? Truly, there is nothing quite so frightening as the idea of what lurks beneath the surface. This title will allow us to explore the world of the huge monsters of the deep sea in a fun and interactive manner. With all of the advances in technology and exploration, the oceans are still a great mystery to us. The "Sea Monsters" game will allow players to explore the prehistoric waters and see the real monster of the deep that existed tens of millions of years ago. Not only this, but the players will actually be able to control these massive beasts as they explore, hunt, hide and escape in an ongoing struggle to survive. The most exciting aspects of the game are the combat and movement systems for the monsterd themselves. The creatures, with a quick whip of the tail and neck, will be able to attack its prey in a split second - grabbing onto the prey and wrestling it for victory. | | | Features: | |

O.K., but not for everyoneFeb 26, 2010
By D.M. Bought this game for my grandson (9 yr. old with asperger syndrome/high functioning autism) who is totally into fossils, dinosaurs, sea creatures, etc. He loves the game and plays it when he comes over each week. You are able to become different creatures who can do different things and go different places in order to find more fossil pieces to complete skeletal remains. Watching him play I see that it is a good challenge for him and gives him great satisfaction when he conquers each level. I could see where some older kids(teens) and or adults may get somewhat bored with it at times. There is not a lot of variety in scenery or what you need to perform. It may depend on your personality and what you enjoy, but if you want a lot of action, this is not your game. If you want a sense of discovery in a less stressful underwater world, you will find it enjoyable.

A good exploration game, but without gorgeous graphicsJan 18, 2008
By Axels The exploration is good, but lacks gorgeous graphics. I think DSI games needs to improve the graphics engine and put more effort. The Wii hardware is not the problem. You can see the picks of Endless Ocean and you say: whoaa that is gorgeous graphics!!

Rent, don't buyJun 16, 2009
By Jeremy Nicholson Hopefully, you've not yet made the mistake of buying this game. If you're expecting Endless Ocean with fish-osaurs, predation, and blood, you're out of luck. Instead, what you get is a big fish, swimming around, looking for fossils, and occasionally eating something. The graphics are sub-par, the control is lacking, there's no plot, it's just not a fun game. If you want an underwater game, try Endless Ocean.

It's a budget game... you get a budget game... you shouldn't be surprisedMar 23, 2008

Well I thought "hey, my pal likes dinosaurs, and this game is about dinosaurs, and it's in the ocean, kinda like Endless Ocean or something, so why not get him this for Christmas (this was a while ago)?" So I got it for him and he immediately responded with "yea... that game was crap." I wasn't really surprised because I knew what I had bought him was a cheap game... but he told me it was REALLY bad:
Graphics: 1 star - not even up to par with Gamecube
Sound: No idea
Story: 1 star - You are different dinosaurs, but not very many of them are playable... and you go around killing other dinosaurs in the ocean... not much story...
Replay Value: None
Overall: Well, I have to give it a 1 star.
I only gave it a two star for fun because my friend likes dinosaurs so that saved the present for him. So, in conclusion, this game is a piece of junk and levels as the grindhouse game of the Wii. Not in a good way though.
PS. He got me Endless Ocean

Save your money...Jul 11, 2008
By Kacey I picked this game up used because it looked and sounded interesting... I'm really glad I got it used because I would be kicking myself if I had paid full price. This game is extremely boring, you just swim around and collect whatever fossils you can find. The graphics are not up to today's standards, and the controls are not nearly as intuitive as every other Wii game I've played. Very disappointing all around. It will be going back to the store tomorrow.
