How SpyHunter gets better and better all the time!Jul 04, 2002
If I could say something about SpyHunter in one sentence, this is how it would go:SpyHunter is a fantastic arcade game that gets better and better as it evolves into a fantastic game console. But I only have 2 complaints: 1.When you crash at a very low speed, you flip upside-down and face the wrong direction and 2.When you shoot a person on a bike, they instantly just fall down and disappear. The same goes for other cars,trucks,helicopters,high-speed boats, and even planes. Other than that, the levels are nicely detailed, the graphics are amazing, and when you blow up people,it's not bloody or disgusting for the kiddies-just very entertaining to watch! Sound's another detail. As you thought, the music's like a 007 movie. But that's just the background music. What really saves the sound is the techno music that's from Cruis'n World(N64).Mix em' together, and it keeps the game going. The controls are nice and easy, once you figure em' out.Gameplay wise,it'll never get boring. So when you get it for your 10th birthday, once you get it outta that shrinkwrap, get going immediatly, you gotta lotta work to do! Overall,it'll be great if you're just an action fan, you'll think it's great, and if you love the 80's arcade game,it's a MUST-HAVE!!!!!!!!!!

pretty good...May 31, 2002
i dont know why you guys keep on rating it bad. i just got this game today and the game is plain great. i can see why fans of the origonal dont like it because its a lot different than the origonal. instead of the old top down view, there is a cool theird person perspective. though the graphics are not the best on the GBA, they are respectable. also, even though the game is short (with only 8 missions) you must play it multiple times and complete all of the missions to get all of the cheats and trust me, there are a lot of cheats to unlock. this is a great game for any one who likes racing games with some shooting and a little stratagy.

Great Portable Action!May 30, 2002
Spy Hunter for the GBA is a great treat. It captures the spirit of both the original game and the new games well. The action can be intense at times, with the difficulty ramping up quickly, but the action is always fast and exhilerating. Graphics are a Awesome. Menus are crisp and easily moved through. The roadways and backgrounds look great, and the sprites are sharp. Overall the action stays solid so I can't complain. (rating 4) Controls are great. They are fast, responsive, and not overly complicated. If I want to destroy an enemy while power sliding through an objective it's very easy to do. (rating 5) The sounds are awesome with a pair of head phones. Voice and effects are top notch and the music is about as good as you can get out of this tiny system. You even hear the familiar Spy Hunter theme in there. (rating 5) There are a ton of cheats and modes to unlock which is very cool. From what I can tell there is a cheat hidden on every level. I've gotten extra cars, and additional armor and ammo. The arcade mode is really fun and allows you to play a game similar to the original arcade game of the eighties. You need to complete all the primary objectives to unlock it. There is also a Super Agent mode, which is a harder difficulty, with enemies and objectives in new places. Link play is also included for some multiplayer mayhem. Midway really packed a ton into this little cart. (rating 5) In my opinion if you liked any prevoius version of Spy Hunter, this portable version is well worth your time and money.

Don't waste your time !Dec 19, 2002
By Warith Muhammad In hopes of a great game I found only disappointment. An unentertaining game with unrealistic challenges and soso graphics I can not imagine even the most die hard Spy Hunter fans enjoying this game.In my opinion, you would receive more pleasure if you were to go to shockwave.com and download the older version.

Dog fighting on the road, racing with a twist, bad graphicsMay 28, 2002

The car driving, auto fighting, gun shooting, oil slicking game has arrived for Gameboy Advance. You are a spy sent out on various missions (each has a primary and several sub objectives) in a superior automobile equipped with machine guns, oil slick, and various other weapons you find along the way like missiles, smoke screen and other. The missions are simple enough, like destroy an enemy helicopter, and destroy five black transport trucks. You do this all while zooming along city streets, looking out for civilians in red autos, destroying bad guys in blue cars and semis trucks. There are some nice controls, A button for accelerate, B button for brake, R button for an offensive weapon, L button to change weapons and L + R to use a defensive weapon (oil slick and smoke screen). There is even a rigorous tutorial track. After all of this has been said, the graphics are probably the second worst I have seen for Gameboy Advance. The other cars on the road look like cardboard cutouts (you can see in the screenshots). The only vehicles with any sort of 3D detail are the objective vehicles you are supposed to destroy. If you enjoy auto racing with a twist this is good for you, if you enjoy great graphics and a plot; please avoid this game.
