for Rpg fans what's not to love? after 6 weeks of steady play on "oblivion" I was ready for greener pastures...well, "shivering" produces! beautiful environments steady action and just rewards..I would recommend you play thru "oblivion"first just enough tp get the feel of the game...all in all it is a great experience and even if you can devote minimal time at each session the game provides enough written history on screen to catch you up. good luck! may the nine guide you!

Shivering Isles expands the same fun you have with the Elder Scroll game. New monsters, herbs, and treasures reengage you back into the story. The new scenery is a mix of colors that excite and disturb the mind.

Great Exapnsion but CrashesNov 04, 2010
By J. Rose I really liked this expansion a lot until I got to a certain point in the game when it locked up and crashed. Unfortunately, it affected my original game too (without the expansion) and would repeatedly crash the game. Not sure what happened, but I would not recommend this because of the crashing problem. Otherwise, it is a great game!

More Elder Scrolls GoodnessOct 03, 2008

I love Elder Scrolls IV so I was eagerly awaiting this add-on. It didn't dissapoint in terms of gameplay and visuals. The fact that you can travel back and forth with your current ES IV character is great. The only downside I can say is that the game is too short and ends suddenly. However even after completing the main mission there is more exploring to be done.
The map is fairly small, but overall I liked it and still exploring all the areas of the map.
